This Loft in The Quarters is AMAZINGLY quiet yet centrally located. This is a residential building, so you will feel right at home with the locals. The front lobby is locked at all times and has a convenient coded key pad to get in; the Loft itself has a convenient coded entry as well. There are private coin operated washers and dryers in the building for your use. The Quarters is not suitable for parties or events, as they would disrupt our neighbors, however just outside the front door is more excitement than you could ask for!

Manager Response: Hank, thank you for your review! Boy hasn't downtown Nashville changed exponentially since the 70's & 80's!!!! Glad you were able to spend time here and see how the area has grown. Thank you for your suggestion, we will look into the towel bar. Again, glad you had an enjoyable stay with Playlist Properties. Please come stay with us again!
Manager Response: Thanks for the great review. The location can't be beat. Since The Quarters is a historic building the layout of the lofts was a little creative. The plus side to having windows on the building's atrium is the shelter from any street noise on 2nd Ave. We do have lofts with windows on the street or riverfront. We hope you come back and stay with us again so you can experience another of our amazing lofts!
The place was very comfortable for four people. It was conveniently located on the 1st floor and set back away from 2nd Ave so there is no street noise. The walls did seem pretty thin however and we did hear the occasional group walk down to corridor with a rolling suitcase along the tile.
Manager Response: Thank you for your kind words, Kathi. We really appreciate you taking the time out to share your experience with us. We look forward to hosting your future stay here in Music City, Nashville!
No car needed
Property Company is very friendly
I will definitely be back
First, they only provide one parking pass which is not adequate sinse for six people you need at least two cars, so somebody ends paying up to $20 a day to park somewhere else. And we had to look around to find one for only $20 a day. Second, the water heater seems too small, though I could not actually see it. We ran out of hot water multiple times with five people trying to shower and get ready to go out. An on demand type water heater would be a definite benificial upgrade.
The only other possible upgrade to make it more enjoyable experience would be to update the entry system. Having to put punch three codes in every time you come in seems a little excessive. Since the rooms and outside doors all use codes need for offsite check in seemed, while not hugely inconvenient, was a waste of time. Also since codes are used on both the two outside doors and inside door, a single temporary entry code seems more than feasible!
Would definitely stay there again and highly recommend it.
As far as the apartment itself, it was nicely decorated and VERY clean! The kitchen had anything we needed, and there were even some umbrellas when we found ourselves there on a rainy day! The living/dining space was a bit cramped for 6 people. There wasn't enough seating in the living room (the green thing against the window is really just decoration, not real seating). We didn't plan on spending a ton of time hanging out, so it wasn't a huge deal. The upstairs bedrooms were very comfortable and the bathrooms were very nice with plenty of big soft towels. Again, super clean. According to the two who slept on it, the pull out couch bed wasn't the most comfortable, and they could definitely feel a bar in their lower back through the mattress. This apartment would be perfect for 4 people, but 6 was stretching it a little. Doable for a weekend though, don't let that deter you!
I had great customer service during the booking process, as well as when our door got locked on the day of our late checkout, it was very promptly opened and resolved! They were even gracious enough to let us put our luggage in the apartment while it was being cleaned on our day of arrival, that saved us from having to lug it around the city! (The folks cleaning were super nice and professional as well!) The book in the apartment had a lot of great restaurant and entertainment suggestions. We loved brunch at Another Broken Egg and ice cream at Mike's nearby. There is also a Pita Pit on your way home from Broadway street, perfect for a late night stop!
Bottom line, I would definitely recommend staying here to anyone coming to Nashville!
There were only 3 minor negatives. The green settee under the windows in the living room is not for sitting. It is exceptionally uncomfortable so seating is limited. The windows in the living room open up to a small enclosed courtyard that gets very limited light for a short time of the day and there are no windows in the bedrooms so it feels a bit like being in an underground bunker. For me, this was not a problem but it definitely makes it difficult to judge what time of day it might be or what the outdoor weather might be. The other negative is that the upstairs does not get much air despite air vents being in the bedrooms. There is a significant temperature difference between the upstairs and downstairs. Fortunately there are ceiling fans in the bedrooms so that made it tolerable.
Despite the minor negatives this place is well worth the stay. Compared to the cost of area hotels it is very reasonably priced and you have the bonus of having a kitchen and living room to share with friends.
Manager Response: Thanks for the great review! Yes, the location is AMAZING. It is great to be able to walk to everything. e can't wait to host you again!
9. Great communication with owner from booking to departure.
8. Fantastic mobile App to keep all reservation details close at hand.
7. Completely secure building with coded access on TWO entry doors AND separate code for door access to the loft.
6. The pictures of the loft represent exactly what you'll see when you arrive. Clean, well-maintained, and spacious.
5. Super comfortable beds with dreamy linens...Zzzzzzz...
4. Bathroom amenities were exceptional - an abundance of bath towels and plenty of TP for six girls :)
3. The loft is in walking distance to more places than you can visit in a weekend! We parked the car at check-in and didn't get back in it until check-out!
2. Grocery store within walking distance - Urban Market on Church Street - get your food and drink once you arrive in Nashville, don't bring it!
1. Did I mention...location, location, location!!
Well done, Playlist Properties...we will definitely be back!
