6 of the Most Mouthwatering Nashville Breakfast Spots

Biscuit Love

We’d be remiss if we didn’t list Biscuit Love as one of our all-time favorite breakfast spots. If you’ve been to Nashville anytime since 2015, you’ve certainly heard of it. What began as a bustling biscuit operation in The Gulch quickly expanded into two additional locations (to alleviate some of the original location’s traffic). Stop by during the week to avoid the weekend crowds and order the “East Nasty” or “Princess” biscuit sandwich. You won’t regret it!

Big Al’s Deli

If battling crowds of hungry Nashville hipsters and tourists isn’t your thing, sneak off to Big Al’s Deli in Salemtown. There, a delicious homestyle breakfast in no-frills digs awaits! This down-home Southern diner will no doubt leave you feeling warm and fuzzy—not just because of the tasty food, but also because of Big Al’s hospitality. Get there at 6 a.m. during the week when this spot opens its doors for and see why the locals love it. Big Al’s is also one of the best hot chicken restaurants in Nashville!

Pinewood Social

Pinewood Social truly does it all: Breakfast, lunch, dinner, bowling, and swimming! It’s easy to spend an entire day at this trendy restaurant-meets-recreation-center. We recommend kicking it off with a hearty breakfast or brunch! Pop in at 7:00 a.m. and try the breakfast tacos or chicken biscuit. If you’re feeling especially indulgent, order The Graceland Waffles with peanut butter, bacon, and bananas. Then, cozy up to the in-house coffee bar for an expertly crafted espresso drink.

Nashville Biscuit House

Though not exactly an Instagrammable place, Nashville Biscuit House serves biscuit sandwiches you’ll crave again and again. This unexpected local gem even has a drive-thru, so we recommend stopping by if you don’t have time for the typical brunch song-and-dance. It opens at 6:30 a.m. during the week!

Loveless Cafe

There’s a reason Loveless Cafe has been a Nashville staple for more than 65 years! Pair a storied past with mouthwatering country cooking and you have yourself a recipe for an unforgettable morning. Be prepared to wait in long lines here, especially on weekends. Come during a weekday morning for thinner crowds!

Pancake Pantry

Need to satisfy that sweet tooth after rising and shining? There’s no better place to do just that than Pancake Pantry. Like Biscuit Love and Loveless Cafe, this Nashville breakfast spot is an institution. It’s been in business since 1961! Head to Hillsboro Village and give it a try if you’re a diehard pancake fan. There will almost certainly be a line out the door, so be prepared to ignore your growling stomach for a while.
